I post my answer below to save anyone else who has this problem a few hours of headache.Getting to the Recovery screen Sony Vaios appear to not allow you to use Shift+F8 to get to Recovery Screen.In order to do this, turn off your laptop and press the purple ASSIST button. This will take you into the Recovery screen. Some where I read that they installed 8GB RAM in sony vaio laptop ( I don't know exact model) with 2GB pre installed so they are using 10GB of RAM.If so I am too happy as I can keep original 2GB stick and can buy 8GB new stick so that my RAM memory would be 10GB.
